Privacy policy

1. The short version

We don't want your data. Stackend is designed to run entirely on your local infrastructure. We do not collect telemetry on your prompts, your model outputs, or your private code. Your AI is sovereign.

2. Data processing

Local Processing: All AI inference, model quantization, and vector storage happens locally on the hardware you own or control. Stackend software acts as an orchestrator, but it does not transmit inference data back to our servers.

No Training: We do not use your data to train our models. Your interactions remain isolated within your environment.

3. Information we collect

Because we are a business, we do collect some minimal information:

  • Contact Information: If you sign up for our waitlist or contact us via email, we store your email address to communicate with you.
  • Website Analytics: We use privacy-preserving analytics on our marketing website (this site) to understand visitor trends. We do not track you across the web.

4. Third-party services

We use Formspree to handle our contact forms. When you submit a form on this website, your message is processed by Formspree in accordance with their privacy policy.

Optional recommendation API: During onboarding, the Stackend installer can be configured with a GROQ_API_KEY to translate your free-text intent into a model recommendation. When enabled, only that single prompt is sent to Groq; all model inference and your data stay on your hardware. Without a key, Stackend uses a fully local heuristic instead.

5. Contact us

If you have questions about our privacy practices or want to request deletion of your contact info, email us at hello@stackend.ai.
